Description
It´s part of the former Kysuce-Orava forest railway from the beginning of the 20th century. A ride through beautiful nature of Orava in the historic train is an amazing experience for both kids and adults.
The historical trains are leaving for a sightseeing ride from the valley train station Tanečník which is near by Oravská Lesná village. The railway track is 3 kilometers long. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the top station called Saddle Beskyd (Sedlo Beskyd). The passengers can take there a little break. They can walk up to the viewing tower near the station and admire Orava´s beautiful nature and panorama.
During the summer season the train runs also to Kysuce and back. We recommend that visitors make a reservation of the tickets for a ride from Orava to Kysuce in advance.
