Description
A unique rarity can be found on Grapa hill above Klin valley. It´s a monumental statue of Jesus Christ which is a copy of the famous statue above Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. This monument was created by a local folk master and it´s the tallest statue of the Savior in Slovakia. The statue is 9,5 m tall and weights 23 tons. The hands of the statue are oriented to the Orava region which they are supposed to protect.
The visitors can enjoy incredible view of the picturesque Orava nature from the top of the hill. Surroundings of the monument are well kept and there are many benches, flowers and an arbor. Thanks to this, the Grapa Hill is the ideal outing spot for everyone who wants to enjoy physical and also mental relax.
